My journey into photography began photographing landscapes and the things around me that I saw as interesting. While I was a student, I began entering my work in various art shows. At my first show, “Moon in Progress” won 2nd place, and “Golden River” won 3rd place. The following year I entered “Sunflowers at Sunset” and it was awarded a 2nd place. 

My image "Harvest Sunset" was voted "most iconic" in my region at Iowa PBS's "Iconic Iowa" photo contest. I was invited to share my image in their book, and was shocked when I saw it was selected as the cover image! 

I applied to the Des Moines Art Festival as an Emerging Iowa Artist. I was selected and will be at the DSAF in June 2024! If there is an image you like, reach out! I can create your print, have it mounted and drop shipped to you!!
